An Overview

Michael and I were married July 31, 2010. We had a very eventful, amazing, touching fairy tale wedding. My wedding day is a day I will never forget. It was easily that happiest day of my life. My mother and I woke up at 5:00 am the morning of the wedding and drove to get our hair done. We were running late and I was stressing out . As soon as our hair was complete we rushed to the car hair flying. I was driving and on the way to the temple I was pulled over by a police officer! Ugh! Thank goodness it was a nice lady cop who let me off the hook. I drove very slow the rest of the way and eventually, after what seemed like days, we made it to the Logan temple.
It was beautiful! I went into my dream castle feeling fuzzy and warm. I had made it. I was going to be married in an hour to a wonderful strong son of God.
We were married a short time later in a beautiful ceremony with many loved ones watching. It was absolute amazing. I do not think words could ever describe the feelings I had that morning. I was full of pure joy!
We then went to our luncheon and to Michael's parents house where the reception was to be held. The yard look brilliant. Dazzling orange, yellow and pink lanterns floated in the air.
After some pictures Michael and I made our way into the gym where we sat down for a few precious seconds to rest. Then the rain came. My uncle Matt had been watching the storm on the Internet and had been telling us it would pass over, no worries. Five minutes  before the rain  started  he came down and told me "its not going to miss us". The wind and rain came. It was raining cats and dogs. The D.J. was hiding under a tarp, the brilliant lanterns slowly flopped into the pool and the dinner tables proceeded to get drenched. The reception started and we had no choice but to find a spot in the kitchen to greet our soaked guests. Our parents ended up having to write handwritten signs and tape them on the walls with arrows to direct the guests down the stairs and into the gym. After 45 mins the rain slowed enough that we decided to move outside. Once outside it began to pour again. With one small black umbrella to protect us we continued to greet our wet guests. Within minutes the bottom of my dress was soaked and muddy.
It was an unforgettable day. I loved every minute of it. By nine the rain had stopped and the night was absolutely beautiful. We danced and laughed under the stars.  I am so grateful to all those who worked so hard to make it a beautiful precious day!
The following day we were supposed to board a plane headed for tropical Hawaii instead we received a call at six in the morning from the airport informing us our flight was canceled. We ending up going back to Michael's parents house and opening a few wedding presents before heading to spent the night in our home for the first time.
We were able to get a flight Monday to Hawaii. With smiles and laughs we boarded the plane.
Hawaii was amazing. We slept in everyday, had breakfast brought to our bed by room service and hung out on the beach. We went one three awesome excursions and many hikes. We ate great food and boogie boarded with sea turtles. It was a very romantic honeymoon full of laughter, love and beautiful sights!

We came home two weeks later and started organizing our home. One month later we were blessed with an addition to our family. Ms. Lulu bell! A friendly, loving cute black lab.

For Halloween this year we threw a Murder Mystery Party. It was a lot of fun. Everyone dressed up and played their parts well.

We also had our first Christmas!! It was a blast. I bought Michael s gift 2 months before Christmas and I could not wait to give them to him. I got him a drill and a golf club. He seemed to really like both. He thought the golf club was the most exciting. He goes golfing with his brothers and dad quite a bit  and we are going to club med in a couple of weeks and so he will be able to use it soon. I got a kindle. It is sooo cool. I love it! I get to download any book I want in just minutes! Its great.

We spent Christmas eve with Michael's family and then went to my parents house.
.Christmas eve was great. We did the nativity scene. The kids we so cute.My job was to keep the kids locked in the pantry until it was time for  their turn on stage. Their costumes were awesome!
Christmas morning was great. We watched all the kids open presents from Santa. Gracie got a little motorized pink jeep. She drove it around like a crazy women. She ran over presents, toes and into walls!
My dad got us all Nerf guns and about 200 bullets. We had many battles! Little mike was the best! We were playing protect the president and I was on the assassins team. The president was coming down the stairs and I was hiding under the pool table shooting at them. All of a sudden there was a yell. I looked up and little Mike was standing on the pool table gun aimed at me! He shot me and the game was over. The other team had won because of a 4  year old!

  2. Wow! That is quite the eventful wedding day! I am glad you were able to laugh through all the mishaps. They are what make telling stories so much fun though :) Looks like you two are loving the life you've made together.
